It's very cold for October. We've had a hard freeze already, on 10.06.09. Waiting on Indian Summer now. The past few days its, been cold. Highs in the 20's two days ago.

Finally a few days into Autumn. What an odd summer we had this year. We had rain 21 out of 31 days in July. It was so wet that we couldn't mow and bale until the middle of August. August wasn't nearly as wet as July, but definitely cooler than usual. September was cool and damp, more rain than usual.

This is the wettest June in years. It has either rained, hailed, or tornados have blown through, or all three, every day this month, as of June 26th. Everything's lush and green by Colorado standards. The dilemma is that you can't mow and bale hay if it's raining every day. Soon enough the drier and warmer weather will be back. I hope before the July monsoon arrives.

03.31.09 A few days ago... Officially under "Moderate Drought" conditions in western Arapahoe County. Fire bans are in effect. In February we had 0.10 " ~that is one tenth of one inch...of moisture at DIA... Now, we have had moderate SNOW, wet and heavy the past few days. Spring snowstorms are the best!
