Rita is an elegant mare. Tall, (15 hands) and very beautiful. Unfortunately injured as a weanling, she can never be ridden. But she has proven herself an attentive and doting broodmare with her 2007 foal, "IF Sweet Baby James", and once again this year with "IF Oh Cecilia".  Rita is going to be taking a few years off from motherhood once Cecilia is weaned. We plan to delve into her issues with her left hock (the weanling injury, the joint was crushed) in hopes of making her more comfortable. Her health is most important, if it is asking too much of her to be a broodmare, than she will just have to become a pampered babysitter for future foals of Illusions Farm...
